So I went out yesterday in my 2013 R20 and I usually adjust my TAPS to 4 when I wakeboard. As soon as I touched the button it it jumped to 8 on the gauge. It did this once before as well as did my fuel gauge but once I tapped them with my finger a few times both worked and the TAPS gauge went back to 1. This time however it did not. I turned off the boat hoping it would reset but it just dipped to 4 and then immediately went back to 8. My button for taps has always been a little touchy on the gear shifter so that could be an issue or maybe the gauge is bad. I checked the TAPS position when I docked the boat and it was Horizontal which I assume is TAPS position 1 but again I never really look at it while I was in the water and its been docked since I had it. So what do you guys think? How should I test this and where should I start or is the gauge just shot? If the gauge is bad where would I get a new TAPs 2 gauge? If the switch needs to be changed where would I get that and how would I check that. If turn the key to the first ignition position before starting will TAPS will move up and down? Or does the boat have to be started to see the plate move? If its the gauge should I consider changing my fuel gauge as well?
