Jackshaft Plate Cover

Hey Everyone,

I pulled the motor cover off of my 2003 Tige 21i Type R and noticed that there was a bent plate near the Jackshaft (picture attached). Found it in a parts drawing as seen in the attached picture (#26), but not entirely sure what it does. What is this plate for and is it an issue that its bent? I appreciate your help!

If you were to run a top mount starter thats where it would go. Not really that essential. Could easily removed and bent back flat too.

Drive plate/flex plate/flywheel damper depending on who you ask. Good point gumby . Sometime the springs let go.
