steering causes clicking noise please help out!!!

I have a 2007 24ve and when i turn the steering wheel there is a clicking noise that is coming from the steering box attached under the dash. Anyone know what this could be? I dont think its the steering cable as it turns pretty smooth except for the clicking in the steering wheel. i have greased the rudder and steering arm but unsure of what to do about this issue.. any ideas would be appreciateed thanks..

Does it just click once during a turn or does it keep clicking several times while turning the wheel. Mine has had a single click since day one. I never worried about. Didn't even turn it in on warrranty.

Pull up the rubber boot and see if anything is touching while turning the wheel.

Just the teeth on the rach and pinion. Not sure why it would be clicking

The boot behind the steering wheel against the dash, you can pull it away and look at the helm to see if anything there is touching.
