Transmission Problem

I have a 2003 21iR with a Merc 350 MPI. I noticed I have a very slow leack wear the shifter goes into the transmission. It has been doing it for a while but was not able to locate the leak until today.

Has anyone seen this before. Any suggestion on what the ptoblem may be or how to fix it?

Had the same problem at the end of last year. You have to pull the two bolts off the otherside of the transmission (opposite the shifter,you'll see what I mean when you look at it). Then pull out the whole unit, at the end there is an o-ring, it needs to be replaced. And you may have to replace the gasket where the bolts come out too. Really simple, just have to get the right parts.
