Oil level check

On the transmission: I checked the level it was reading high I took a few ounces out. When checking level in trans does the dipstick go all the way in or just enough before it starts to snug up on rubber?

put it all the way in.

The manual for the ZF45 tranny says do not screw the dipstick all the way in. There is a graphic also in the manual. Beginning of threads on the dipstick to beginning of threads on th e tranny.

that is correct for the zf but for the velvet drive you need to push it in.
