I am a new owner of a brand new Z1. Took out Sunday for the first time. Great boat, but my Speed Set is not working. When you turn the cruise control button on, it registers on the dash. But, when you try to input a speed by pushing the faster or slower button, nothing happens. Does anyone have any idea what might cause this? I hve tried setting the speed at idle, as well as when I am up to speed. My Tige dealer doesn't want to look at it until the spring and I would like to use it a couple of times before winterizing it. This is only dealer in the state and the boat is covered by Warranty, I don't have any options at the moment. Thanks for any help.

Where do you live? If the dealer is bad, why not take it to another dealer? Would be a longer drive but probably worth is since you are not happy with them already.
This could be a problem with the onboard computer and might need flashing or maybe a lose wire somewhere. Have you traced the wires from the SpeedSe to see if they are all connected.Last edited by da.bell; 10-20-2009, 06:15 PM.

Did it work correctly when you sea trial'd the boat before delivery? Cause I know any good dealer would not let you leave with a brand new boat without a sea trial.

When I bought my boat this summer, both my batteries were new. However I kept getting low battery message on the screen, and the speedset was not working well, although it still does not work well. Anyways the non-starting battery was defective and would not hold a charge, the dealer replaced it and the speedset worked better but still have some issues. Check some my recent posts on the speedset as i think there are quite a few of us out there on TO that have issues with the speedset.

I would start by making sure the harness on the backside of the keypad is plugged in all the way. It sounds to me like the cruise is turning on but the keypad is not working. Don't worry about what version or download you have. The RZ and Ve boats have different versions or downloads because they have a center digital screen with more features. The Z1 only has one version and does not need an upgrade. I hope this helps, let us know how it turns out.
