    Mercruiser drains?

Does anybody have any photos of where to drain a 350 Mercruiser? I ran about 5 gallons of Marine antifreeze through it and then drained it through the Blue drain plugs, but am I missing something? I want to be extra cautious because I am in Minnesota.
    Thanks!

What you should have done was drained all the water out via the blue plugs and then filled it with antifreeze, putting each plug in as pink antifreeze starts to come out. This way you know that all the water is out and any remaining spots that do have water are now mixed/filled with antifreeze.

I think if you ran anti-freeze through it, you should be good to go as long as you drained out the water first.

Yeah, draining the "Antifreeze" is kinda like pulling the condom off right before you ****** . If you are worried about freezing, leave the pink RV/Marine antifreeze in the system for winter, and it works best when used undiluted as Zad indicated.

Roy, good to have another Minnesotan on the forum! Too bad we have to get winterized before before next week. They're saying 35 degrees Tuesday night. This year is my first winterization for the Tige'.

On my last inboard engine, I warmed the engine up, drained it, then ran it sucking the anti-freeze out of a bucket until I was it was coming out of the exhaust.

I'll do something similar thi year, but throw in an oil change for the engine and transmission too. That also gives me one last chance to get the boat out on the lake.
The luck is gone, the brain is shot, but the liquor we still got.
