Wakeboard straps

I have an 08 22ve and keep it stored in dry storage when not boating, so it sees very little daylight, other than the 80 hours I have put on it this year, but all of the rubber wakeboard straps are cracked and two of them broke, the odd thing is that the two that broke, have never been used. I only have one board and we keep it in the same position.

Question is, is that a warranty item, and is there a better replacement. I searched and found some old info on the wakedesign bungee straps, but it had some negative reviews and some did not seem to think it was going to work

Surely others have the same issue.

They should be a warrantable item and be available from your dealer.

I was hoping that there was a better alternative, if they only last a year, I want to make or buy something more substantial.


Has anyone made their own.

I have some bungee cord, that I have thoroughly abused for years that never seems to break, despite my best effort. I looking for something like that.

Wake Designs, who was the original fabricator of these racks for Tige, did offer a new style bungie for a similar style rack sold under the "Wake Design" name. But, someone here got e set and they broke real quick. If I remember right, the end let loose and the metal staple on the end got them in the face. Now, I believe they are now longer offered, but 100% sure of that.

The replacement set I had on mine looked perfect after 2.5 yrs and 150 hrs. The originals didnt even make it past delivery and they were leaving black crap everywhere. Tige found a new supplier for them.
