    Freaking TAPS issue

I read through every post I could find about TAPS but nobody ever mentioned where the Relay for the TAPS is at.
I hear something click when I hit the button up or down but nothing happens, shouldn't I at least her a "whir" or a "hum" from the unit if the plate was just frozen? I put a voltmeter on the guage and the two green bottom wires have about 5-6 volts while my positive post has 12v. Is that normal? I put said voltmeter on all the seperate posts in the 4-pin connection near the actuator/resovoir and nothing has power, neither up/down or neutral. I think there's a light blue, mint green, black and white wire to the unit.

If it's in the throttle, how do I get to that? Take of the arm rest panel assembly thing or can I pop that switch out somehow??

...I'm having a beer and calling it a night now....
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

The green wire is from the coil inside the cylinder(s) that measures throw. Only check that wire set if your gauge isn't working.

The 4pin will only have power when the switch is pressed. Check this first to verify the pump isn't bad.

Find the three wires from the shifter handle. You should be able to see them when you are laying under the helm and looking back at the arm panel where the shifter mechanism is. follow it to the relay set. find the power and ground plug from the relay set and check for 12v. if 12volts are present it could be the relays or the wire set from the shifter.

Check for continuity from the switch at the relay set. Put your leads on the red and blue wires and press the switch up and down. do that with red green and then green blue. I think red is common. The switch may have enough slack to allow it to pull out just a little bit but I would do that only if you were not getting continuity.

    Swap relays.
