    Rattling Tower

I hav a 07' 20V with two Pro 80's and one Pro 485 mounted on my tower. For some reason, the last two times we were out, it has been rattling like crazy. Is this common?

Make sure you tighten every bolt on the tower every time. They do come loose from the vibration of being on the water.

I have the 08 tower and a pair of Dbot5 8", my tower shakes like a dog pooping a pine cone. The speakers I have up there weight about 48 lbs, add four boards in the racks and the side to side movement is pretty bad. Last night I did tighten the 4 mounts and all other handles. It helped a little but it looks like it will be something that I have to live with. It could always be worse, just remember that.

make sure that you torque to 22 pounds per square inch. Any more than that, you might have some gelcoat issues or even fiberglass issues.

What is wierd is the tube by the drivers head sounds hollow, and I am guessing it is because of all the speaker wire run through the other side.

Also check the 2 allen set screws that hold the 2 front legs to the front feet. I would pull them, add a dab of blue loc-tite
