Alarms and Goes out of Gear

I have an 06 Tige 24v. Two weekends ago the boat started alarming and going out of gear at low speeds when towing a surfer or just going about 10 mile per hour. I thought it might be the impeller so I spent saturday replacing that. I took it out to the lake on Sunday and the same thing.....alarm and out of gear. The boat is not overheating.....any ideas????

Do you have the EIDB Tige dual battery option? If so, get the deep-cycle tested and make sure all the grounds are tight. If your batteries have the wing nuts, replace them with ny-lock nuts.

You didn't by chance fill up with gas with ethanol? I had the same issue last week. Apparently the pumps in Missouri do not have to be labeled that they contain ethanol. I always run regular unleaded, but this one tank gave my system a fit. I ran a bottle of sta-bil through the tank and no more alarms, and then refilled with regular and no alarms to date. It was a cheap solution for me.

I'll try the sta-bil and the battery terminals. I just had the oil changed and noticed that I'm about a quart low so that may have something to do with it as well. I'll keep you posted.
