In thinking about upgrading to a larger alternator, I'm wondering one thing- how many amps does the engine draw from the electrical system to run the ignition, etc? The numbers I'm looking for are both at idle and up to the 4800 RPM redline, and whether or not the amount of power usage is linear between idle and peak RPM. I'm specifically looking at the Merc. 350 MAG MPI, but others' info would be helpful as well!
