Hi, I just bought a 2000 2300V Tige with the TAPS system. I can watch the plate move up and down with the switch button, but not more than say an inch or so and I can't tell any difference in wake size or performance between full up and full down. How much range of motion should I expect in the plate? Think I am just low on fluid?

Mtr0890 Congrats on you new boat. The range is not much more then an inch. So that sounds like it is working properly. You can add any type of ATF fluid. I know on my 21 V I notice a big range from (8 wakeboarding)& (1 sking)Performance if you put taps on 8 and drop the hammer you will see bow rise and stay up for 10-15 sec maybe for you plain. Now if you put it on 1 and drop the hammer it will take off and plain with some bow rise but not a lot. It will also plain in about 6-7 sec I would say. Your boat is bigger then mine so there will be a little difference.
Now if you a wake boarding speed 18-23 you will notice by playing with the taps on how it cleans the wake up. You will notice some height change but at this point it's more on cleaning the wake. I know there are a lot of guys on here with your size boat and I am sure they will chime in and correct me if I have miss spoke15 Escalade ESV-Black

I just got done goofing with mine...range is about right at 1-1.5" If you're not seeing any difference in the drive characteristics of the boat--something is up. It should drastically change the handling of the boat between 1 and 8. I could understand how maybe you could miss the wake change, but not the handling.Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
