Best biminis ever for a tower. Way nicer to install then mine and a lot sturdier too. Tall will probably jump in and say that because it is mounted higher it is less effective for producing shade but I like it just the same.

Ummm, I wouldn't exactly call it "higher" because the Alpha Z tower is so low. It would decapitate Tall. He showed a picture of him on our boat once - the bimini was about at his neck level.

Most tower biminis would decapitate me and tall.

I had my ECM flashed to correct surging on my Speedset but if you set it for say 25 mph and give full throttle authority with it when pulling rider out of water the Speedset accelerates too fast when pulling rider up. So I get rider to speed using throttle manually and then set the Speedset and give it throttle authority. My riders prefer that method verses my Speedset yanking their arms out of their sockets.

That is what you should be doing but I agree with your statement.

I have heard and read that the "new" Speed Set is not supposed to over shoot. Mine does by about 2 or 3 mph if you just jam it down (which you are supposed to be able to do). It is not a problem to feather it in but it is supposed to be "perfect pull" meaning the same pull to the set speed each time. Perhaps the problem is with my unit and not all units.

Mine doesn't overshoot the mark either. It's the hotshot that can rip the arms of my wife and children.
