Tell your buddy to go out and practice on the water for a while...it does take getting used to, but you'll get the hang of it.

Just be careful hitting reverse. I have noticed the RZ2's when putting the boat into reverse that the transome swings out very quickly to the right. The 24Ve that I had didn't turn as easy but that RZ2 seems to turn on a dime.

And always, always, always, make sure your plug is in before launching.

Seems foolish to say, but even the most experienced boaters occasionally have a moment of forgetfulness.

Thanks guys for all the help and suggestions! My friend Adam and I are trying to learn all the ins and outs. And the first thing we have determined is to leave all the folks that just wanna drink beer and smoke at home until we become confident with everything! lol

and here is a link to the first thread I started when I had just ordered the boat if anyone remembers looking at the design pics I had posted

                http://tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9430

Its been overcast for the past week with all this tropical weather crap coming in off the coast. So the first clear day we get I'll take alot of pics!

Right now I've got it outside all pulled apart letting it air out since we couldn't stand it and chanced it yesterday with the possibility of heavy rain....And well we got caught in it of course, so third time out it got total soaked! O well, guess thats part of it!

                Thanks,
                Rick D.

The best advice you can get is to take some people out who know how to drive a wakeboard boat and know how to wakeboard. You will learn very quickly by observing the way they drive and wakeboard.

This is great advice. Better yet, if you can somehow snag a ride with a pro, you can get lots of driving tips. Tige sometimes brings their pros to the reunions...if they do, definitely go and catch a ride. Also, the pros that do lessons also do driving lessons. Well spent money, IMHO.

+1 - I thought I was a pretty good driver until I rode around with Sonja Weinacker! She is a BAD AZZ driver - better than her husband Nick!

ok, thought of another question! What is the zipper for on the back of the Bimini, and the 2 longer arched polls? they look just like the small ones that go in the back of the bimini just longer. Bout 2 or 2.5 feet i guess?

And here is a link to my "myspace" where i have a few pictures of the boat inside my shop. Not great, but all i got so far!

The quote above should be an everyday thing no matter how familiar you are with your boat.

The two longer arched poles and the zipper should be for the bimini extension. About a 2' wide swath of fabric with a zipper on the front side and a support pole running along the entire back side. I am assuming that they wouldn't give you the extension poles if you didn't pay for the extension, so make sure you did the rest of your bimini from the dealer.

To attach the extension, remove the back support pole from the basic bimini. Zip the extension on. Connect it to the tower using the longer arched poles instead of the shorties. Then tension and connect the bimini in the front just like normal. Just a suggestion - my extension started unzipping once while we were underway on somewhat rough water. Within a second or two, almost the entire extension had unzipped and nearly ripped away from the boat. After that little surprise, we had the zipper end attached with a snap and wire loop to prevent it from happening again.

Oh, also, if you got the swivel board racks, we have discovered that while the bimini extension is on with any wakeboard in the top fork with the bindings upwards...the board bindings will hit the bimini when you go to swing it into the boat. Be careful with that.

it has the fixed mount wake board racks. he saw no need in spending 2x as much $$ just to fold the board racks in. it fits in the shop just fine with the board racks out.

i suppose he did not get the extra piece of the bimini because we have not yet found anything. we wondered for hours trying to figure out what the longer poles did

Here is a picture from under the bimini so you can see how it attaches with the extension on.
