    bilge pump!!!!!!!!!! please help

    i just bought a 06 24ve took it to the lake for the first time
    and took a wave over the bow long story short no bilge turn on the swicth 5 seconds later it would pop the braker would any one no how many pumps are on this boat and wher ther at i seen the little rule 500gph at the back is this the only one

    1 In the back. Rule-mate 500. You can get a new one at West Marine for $58.

      Pop it out of the cage an make sure the pickup is clean. Not uncommon for them to pick up crap and bind the impeller which will trip the breaker.

      This is probably a good time for you to go over the boat with a fine tooth comb an see what else needs attention i.e. blower, nav light, etc. It's better to do on dry land instead on in a situation out on the water Congrats and good luck.

          I would go to the biggest you can with same size hose, probably a 750 gph or so. I always add a second BP to my boats, they are pretty important and not very expensive.
