Ok, Here I Go.....I Live In Washington....It Got Cold....My Block Cracked...
I Wakeboard Though Most Of The Winter And Use 2 Space Heaters And 2 Drop Lights In The Engine Compartment. I Went On Vaction And This Is When Mother Nature Decided To Bring On The Cold. I Got Back And Checked My Boat And The Heaters Where Unplugged (Wind/Someone Tripped Over It/Maybe I Didn't Plug It In?). I Also Poured Straight Antifreeze And Drained My Manafolds. I Did Not Drain The Sides Of My Block..Opps. So I Hope No One Comments On The Winterizing Part Of My Post. I Am Going To Go With A Heat Exchanger If I Wakeboard Next Winter.
It Is A 2004 24v Tige 5.7 Suppose To Put Out 335hp ( Who Rates This?)
So I Got A New Long Block For A 5.7 Chevy 350...It Has All The Stuff As My Stock Long Block ( Roller Rockers Cam Ect ). I Bolted Up My Intake Manafold And Tryed To Start It. BTW Everything Is Torqued Aligned And Back Where It Should Be. My Number 1 Piston And Rotor Line Up. The Engine Sputters At A Very Low Idle And Then Dies. I Am Guessing It Has Something To Do With The ECU, Since I Am Not Too Familiar With The Electronic Controlled Timing. I Read Something About Putting It Into Service Mood In One Of These Post? I Have Plenty Of Spark, Smell Gas And Compression.
I Also Get A Funny Beap When Starting It, That I Am Not Use To?
Any Ideas?
I Was Going To Bring It Into My Local Tige Dealer, But I Called And Never Got A Call Back...Good Guys, But Typical.
