Some background: So I just bought an '02 Tige 20i with a 350 Merc (surprised it's carbureted and not injected, but simple I guess). Started fine when we bought it. Got it home. Now it wont start. Traced it back to fuel (spray some starter fluid and it fires right up) so I know I'm getting spark, but it falls on it's face. SO... the annoying part is when I turn the key to ACC the alarm comes on and stays on. Any idea if these are related or separate issues? Oil pressure builds fine. There is plenty of fuel. It was filled with stabilizer before winter. Any and all help is appreciated! Hoping this is an isolated incident and doesn't jade me toward Tige or Merc.
If it's relevant: I'm getting ready to do oil, oil filter, fuel filter (inline), water separator, and impeller and hoping it's a clogged filter or something simple. Thanks guys (and gals?)!
