Anchor Light will not turn off

Folks, I am absolute baffled. I just realized my anchor light is on, and I just was told that it has been on for a day and a half. Once I realized it was on, I tried turning it off at the helm to no avail. I then turned off the main battery switch and it is still on. Anyone seen this before? I've had my boat since brand new, and I've never seen this before. It is a 2010 RZ2 with Alpha Z tower. Thank you for any leads you may have. I may find out how long it takes for a single LED to drain a battery.

Can you find the back side of the anchor light switch?

You can turn on a hard switch under the helm. That is what I do when I leave it at a buoy over night. However killing the battery switch should kill the entire electrical system. If that doesn't do it, you have some really weird gremlins in there.

Look next to the black box under the dash that has the circut breakers on it , to the bottom right of it follow the group of blue wires to a pair of relays , these are knowned to getting water in them and they will turn on the lights, doesnt matter about the battery switch because these relays have power all the time.

The battery switch only turns off the starting battery, it doesn't turn off the accessories. I learned this the hard way and added my own second battery switch for the house battery. Now when I leave the boat I turn off both switches and everything is turned off, except the bilge pump.

Thank you so much for the leads. I will certainly look into them when I get home from work. My prediction is that there may be something to Dom's suggestion. I took a direct hit from a surf wave right over the pickle fork bow while towing another boater...swamped the whole front of the boat.

I was not aware of these relays. I also have an issue where my stereo has not turned on in over a year. I can't for the life of me figure out what the problem is. I have searched for every fuse I can find and can't find one that's blown. I tested the wires going to the head unit with a multimeter and found no juice. Is there a possibility of a similar problem with the stereo from a while back?

If the relays are their and appear to be water damaged just pull them out and go to your local parts store they should have them their the same on cars, as to the stereo did you check both sides of the fuse in line with the red wire?

There are 3 wires that need to be checked at the back of the head unit:

black is the ground. Put your meter's positive lead on one of the amp's B+ terminals and prob the black and you should measure battery voltage.

yellow is the constant B+. If the black is a good ground, use it for this and the next test. Probe the yellow with the meter's Positive lead and again, you should read battery voltage.

Red is the switched turn-on. If the boat has a traditional key, turn it to the ACC or RUN position and probe the red wire with the meter's positive lead and you should read battery voltage. If the boat has the TT and button, power everything up and then turn on the head unit using the touch screen power button for the audio and then measure.

If any of the 3 circuits are dead, as in no voltage or ground, you now need to trace the suspect circuit back to its source. The black ground and yellow B+ may terminate at the largest amp's power terminals. The red will come from the ACC terminal off the back of the key switch or Medallion fuse box.

If all 3 circuits have the appropriate B+ or B-, then you have a dead head unit or a bad remote. Unplug the remotes and try again
