First time owner here. I just replaced the hydraulic motor and successfully got my trim tabs to work on my 98 PRE 2002 WT. Have no trim position indication on TAPS gauge though. Is there a sending unit somewhere on the back of the boat attached to the trim tab that could be the problem or is this something with the gauge? Thanks.

I am having the same problem with my TAPs gauge and have been searching for an answer. I have found some great info on this forum. The next thing I am going to try is checking the resistance across the green wires on the guage at each position of the TAPS. If it changes then the sensor in the ram is good and the problem is with the guage. I just wish I could find a diagram or pic of the wiring to the guage. I bought my 2001 21v last year and the guage has never worked. If anyone could post a pic of wires into guage it would be appreciated. I will follow up if I find my problem.
