    BATTERY ISSUE

My Starboard side battery in my 2011 rzr has not been cahrging, so we lose power to the tige touch, stereo etc. Is this not charging with the alternator? My power shut off dial on the port side is set to on, should it be to combine batteries??

My guess is that the battery is either disconnected form the main battery or the battery is bad. The battery should receive a charge from the alternator through the isolator diode. Moving to combine overrides the ISO.

I would take a volt meter to the battery and check for alternator voltage with the engine running. If present, then get the battery tested.

Thanks Mike, what should the voltage be on each battery when running(12v?), also do I understand correct that using the combine batteries setting on the disconnect switch is ok? It would only be temporary until the issue gets resolved.

With the engine running, the alternator output should be greater then the the battery's standing voltage. If the battery is good and charged, that should be 12.5-12.8 volts. I would also compare the voltage reading to one taken from the main cranking.

Yes, running in combined mode is ok.

Problem still exists. Have been trickle charging accesory battery, seems to last about a tank of fuel with normal use and lounging. Talked to a service guy today, thinks it might be the ignition battery not at full charge, so the accesory is not receiving a charge either, what is yours doing??
