I have a clarion xmd3 with two clarion amps on my 04 20V. I am having a problem in that it keeps going to "mute" all the time. Someone suggested it might be a problem with one of the remotes at the steering wheel or transom. Any one had this problem before?

I doubt that this might be your problem but I had a problem with my CD player intermittently forwarding to the next song. Some days it would do it and others it would not. After much investigation I realized that my son was sometimes putting his CD case in the glovebox. Turns out that the CD case was hitting the fast forward button on the CD player and causing the problem...we now have a rule against putting anything besides a wallet or cellphone in the glovebox!-Tip
