Found the Radio Gremlin

Well - I found the gremlin. Not sure if the battery was bad or if it was the fact the negative cable was not tight around the post - nonetheless thanks to the generous Costco return policy on a new battery and making sure all the terminals were tight all is fixed. Intresting enough I just replaced both batteries in April - anyone have any issues with the Costco marine hybrid battery (e.g. Deep Cycle/Cranking) ?

I believe the motion in the boat caused the negative terminal to loose connectivity and turn the radio off - dam boat ! Thanks for all the advise!

Glad you found it. If the battery has wing nuts, toss them out and put on some ny-lock nuts.

I did put some ny-lock nuts on after this incident - wish I could do the same for the battery post. Every since I repositioned the batteries it is an extremely tight fit. Those costco batteries are Group something, but they were so large I had to modify the battery holders to get them in.
