Running light

It appears some of the three small screws that mount the running light to the front of the boat (2003 22V) have stripped. When I pressed the light in to get it to come up, one of the screws popped out and promptly fell into the river. Any tips on how to get a screw in there to hold it more firmly in place? Just a bigger screw...backing plate, etc.?

If the hole was too big for a regular size screw I would try those plastic inserts that are used for sheetrock.

Through bolt it with a nut and washer.
