TAPS guage problem

08 Z1, Taps plate functions normal but guage reads 8
It moves when you turn the key off. It goes to zero when you diconect the taps modular under the dash, but its always on 8
i assume its the sender unit does any onr know about the sender

I see nobody ever responded to this thread. Just wondering if you ever solved your problem? If so how?

Most likely the two sending wires from the coil were crossed. The gauge went to 0 when the key was off because they default to 0 when power is removed.
Always check the two green wires(maybe white with black stripes) on the trim tab module plug. 240ohms system is good, OL the wire is cut, 1.1 ohms the wires are shorted together.
