why does the power cut out?

When using the 12v power source to plug in the air pump to air up the towables the power cuts out and you have to wait a min. then continue. When I plug the air pump into my trucks 12v source it does not cut off. Leads me to believe there is some sort of safety shut off so the battery does not drain?
Does not make a difference if the boat motor is on or off. Anyone have a clue how to resolve this issue?

Sounds like it has a auto-reset breaker that is not large enough to handle the load of your blower. If you can trace down the wires and find it, swap it out for one that is maybe 5-10 amps higher.
