Which Pin do I use to power my accessory on the acc switch?

I tried unhooking the brown/yellow on my switch and it tripped the circuit when I hooked in my accessory (A drainplug LED). Is that the wrong wire? Does someone have a schematic?

On a Carling rocker, switch, the middle pin is B+ input and the bottom is switched output. The upper pin is a GND for the illumination.
