Hey Guys,
Having an issue with charging.
Boat is a 2007 24ve with factory EIDB. I have tested my voltage coming off the alternator(14.3v) to the isolator. Check both cables coming off the isolator to the battery positives(13.5v) when they are not connected to the batteries. As soon as I connect everything together I only get 12.7/12.8 at the batteries. I am seeing the same voltage readout on the dash as well 12.7. While running the boat I am seeing the voltage bounce around from 12.9 down to 11.9. If I just sit and idle it will usually sit at 12.3. I have checked all the battery connections. They are clean and tight. Leads me to think I have a bad connection under the helm somewhere. Would a bad connection under the helm cause poor charging performance? I looked underneath the and looked that the gauge connections but they are just pin connectors and all seemed tight.
Any places I should start digging in.
I appreciate any guidance here.
Rob
