Alarm won’t shut off even with ignition turned off

Hey I took my boat out of storage n got the battery’s in when I went to test everything when I turn ignition on everything comes on like normal alarm buzzes n engine starts. But when I goto turn it off the buzzer a little quieter the ignition on buzzer stays on with key out of ignition couple of gauge stays on till I flip a switch like Navi or blower the buzzer or away n gauges stop, I replaced the ignition switch already n have narrowed down to a possible fault to a 40 amp fuse that in a separate black holder under dash. Any thought on y or what that fuse is for?

I've seen something like this before....and it was a ground placed on a positive post. I KNOW, I KNOW, all logic says there should be sparks and breakers blowing. Instead it just caused freak loads like you are describing. Honked the horn and stereo would come on, half a row of switches lit with everything off etc. I'd double check your battery connections if you just installed batteries.

Just in case.....I zip tie all of my Positives together and label before pulling the battery. Just helps me be sure come spring that I don't do something wrong.

So update I check all my connection at the battery they are all good. More testing when I test some of my terminal off the ignition switch I get weird voltage reading almost like pulse as in 12.5v 9.v 11.2v 10v. Battery is holding voltage at 12.6v. I also notice that if I flip my Navi anch switch on dash on it will turn on the fuel pump and gauges. One thing i remember is that when I was charging my battery connected to the boat it reached voltages of 16v.... cheap *** battery charger damn it!!!
