My 2002 21V Riders Edition has been having intermittent electrical issues. Intermittently while towing a rider with Perfecr Pass on, if I adjust the TAPS the Perfect Pass cuts out, the screen goes blank for a second and then comes back on. The boat starts to slow down during this and I have to throttle up to get back to the target speed for Perfect Pass to take back over. Do you think it is a short in the throttle handle for the TAPS button? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sounds like a loose or corroded ground, and the TAPS is "searching" for a ground through the PP, causing it to drop out/reset. I agree, a bad connection somewhere. Could be on the +12V or the ground side.Comment
