    Relay problem?

I am having some electrical issues.

My ignition and everything wired into that(gauges) work fine.

Everything wired into my relay does not work(nav and courtesy lights, stereo, bildge pump, blower, etc)

There is a direct wire from the battery going to the relay and there is power up to that point. However, there is no power coming out of the relay (orange wires).

Could I have a bad relay, or is there something else I need to check?

I have checked every fuse under the dash, none of the indash breakers are blown, nor is the breaker on the engine.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

    Thanks...

Ok, well I figured out it wasn't the relay. It is one of the switch panels on the dash that has a short. I have a rare 8 button (2 sets of 4) dash panel and behind them is a circuit board that plugs into a relay using a proprietary plug/wire. That has shorted out and needs to be replaced.

Unfortunately it is the switch panel that turns on/off the stereo, bilge pump, blower, and nav lights. (Critical items)

Does anyone know where I can order one of these?

Here is a photo of a dash like mine(belongs to dschock)

And by the way, I know the ENTIRE electrical system of these boats if anyone has a question for me.

Nevermind....the EMI 4 button panels are obsolete. There is a Rocker Switch Conversion Panel that replaces the 2 4-button panels per Lee at Tige(Very helpful and friendly)

replacing the panal is pretty simple. you will have to do some thinking though. so far in this thread you have answered all your own questions. looks like you don't need us.

haha, yeah, I'm just trying to share the knowledge I've aquired....converting the emi buttons to rockers will take some effort I think. There are only 4 wires going into one 4 button switch. Most rocker switches are 3 blade....I guess I will have to see. If you have any tips Tige M.D. please let me know.

#1 buy a test light or a power probe.

#2 make some jumper wires. 1 red 1 black

            #3 buy/make a wire labeling kit

            #4 note pad and paper

#5 alot of quiet time (no wife, no kids, no nosey neighbors)

some of these rocker panels are a plug and play. most are not unfotunately.
