    Oops. Battery Connections

    Hi All,

Well I drained my battery and couldn't start the boat. So, I yanked both batteries and didnt pay very close attention to what I took off of where. The boat is a new rz2 with dual battery and the wet sounds system. I can now get the boat to start but all my accessories lights, pumps etc don't have power. My stereo works and as I mentioned the boat will start. Does anyone know what I might be missing? I can take a photo if it would help but I know its something simple just not in the right place or the right order. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you've missed a ground or positive cable, and a large one at that. Its common to do when pulling batteries. Reach around behind the batteries and feel/look for a cable end that's not attached.

I find it odd that both batteries were dead as the Tige EIDB dual battery system is set up so it makes it pretty tough to do. Do you know what got left on? May want to have the charging and battery system checked out.

Thanks for the reply. I will pull both of them out again and see what I missed. It does seem like there is one large positive cable missing. I think all the grounds are accounted for. I believe it was the courtesy lights, we got back after dark and I was messing with the ipod connector because it doesnt seem to work (never has). I never do that kind of thing and I pulled the keys after so there could be something more sinister going on I will take a look.
