      akdoc-

I will typically recommend a void-free plywood that has 13 plys for a 3/4" thickness. Many times you will find this with some sort of finished hardwood veneer for cabinetry construction. I know my local home improvement store has 13-ply right now with an oak veneer. Do not buy lumber-core, make sure what you are buying is plywood.

Sometimes you will hear someone call this particular material 13-ply birch plywood, or marine grade plywood. They keys to your success are tied to these three things: void-free and 13 ply, and when you get these two, you usually get a water-proof or water-resistant glue in between the layers as the third thing.

Hopefully that is a straight-forward simple answer for ya!
      It's not an optical illusion.
      It just looks like one.....

Completed the install yesterday. This thing POUNDS for a single 10" woofer! I am VERY impressed - I really didn't think that it would make this much of a difference (even with the vent not in the cabin area).
