    cmd1 to m475

Changed decks tonight does not fit in hole. Old hole is bigger. The wired remote will not mute the stereo. Sounds great. Is there any way to have the cmd1 work with an Ipod.

The CMD1 should have either Cnet or a set of AUX in RCA's, if not both. Look on the back of the H/U for a square socket or a set of RCA's with red wires, These are for MP3's.

You can order a plate to fill the hole, that's what I did. Clarion makes it, it's called a CM-ADAP-A Retrofit Adapter. You have to special order it...your Tige dealer should be able to get it for you. Or, you can fashion a plate out of starboard, which you can get at Westmarine. I made one for the time being while I waited for my order to come in. Haven't installed the Clarion version yet, but when I do, I can send you what I made (it's white).

Thanks for the replys. I will go get something this weekend to make the stereo fit better. Ran the cable over to the steering wheel for the Ipod. Will work with it some more. As for the aux jacks on the back they are pluged in to the two amps so there are none available. Is this correct?

No, there will be 2 sets of RCA's, one with gray leads and one with black leads, these are the front and rear low-level outputs for the amps. There may be one more set of RCA's with purple leads, this is the non-fade and is also an output. If the AUX's are unused, they may be taped up in the harness.

I will look tonight to see if there is any more rca jacks. Any idea why the wired remote will not mute the stereo?

cmd1 doesn't have an aux input. I had to make a special cable with one of those round pin connectors, clarion's cnet. You also have to wire a switch in to force the cmd1 into aux mode. Works pretty nice once you get finished.

Good to know, thanks for the clarification.

I'd say get what you need to make the M475 fit......3 RCA outputs, AUX input, Cnet, handles multiple remotes

Did go get a enclosure that will work great. Talk to the stereo guy about my mute button. Said if I think its the unit to bring it back and they'll give me another. This stereo will work great if mute will work.

I just switched out my xmd1 to a M475 tonight also. I will send a pic of the plate I made.

Went to car toys today and bought a boat cover which worked great. Did you have a remote? Does mute work from your remote? Car toys said I could return the stereo and try another one. May do that.
