Holy crap that was a lot of freakin' work. 3 damn days being a contortionist. Damn my *** is hurtin, but my boat is a rockin.

My question is does anyone know what that acc. switch does on the dash? In my 22ve (2007) it doesn't appear to operate anything. I want to hook up the acc wire on the CMD5 so I don't accidently leave the radio on and I can esily turn the radio on and off with a dash mounted flip.
    Any idears???

Ha ha ha, those are easy to work on

That switch is probably for the under water transom light, if it was ordered with one. From the factory, the red remote turn-on wire for the H/U was powered from the key switch when in "ON" or "ACC". All you have to do is move that red wire from the back of the key switch to the switched side of that unused ACC switch. If you want to get fantasy, you can buy the switch cover with music symbols on it, Skiers Choice (Moomba/Supra) uses them.

Hmmm... I couldn't find any hot wires in place under the pass side. Maybe I just missed it. What are the colors for the wires that should be there for the radio so I know what I'm looking for?

Also how do you get the switch covers off? I don't want to break one trying to get it off.

In the boat's wire harness running into the pass storage console, there should be a 10-12 ga yellow for the radio's memory.....ignore it as the amp(s) is the best place to get the 12V constant. There will be a 14ga red wire that is hot when the key is either "ON" or in "ACC". The BLK ground wire in that harness should also be ignored and take the ground for the H/u from the amps. The red wire for the H/U's switched turn-on is of as this will almost never be a source of noise. As wired from the factory, this red wire does draw from the starting battery, but it's very little draw as it's only used to energize the radio's internal turn-on relay.

I was going to do what you siad about using the amp block power but I couldn't find a a switched wire for the acc part. I'll go look because it would save me from running the wire I was going to run for it. PITA

Thanks a TON for your help.

Damn you saved me some serious time on this one. I found the wires hidden in the harness and never used. This guy must have ordered this boat without a stereo and installed his own. There is evidence that there was a stereo in the boat but does't look like he used any of the factory connects. Also I moved that acc. wire off the key and put it on that accessory switch for a on off. Something is connected to it but I have no idea what. It doesn't have the transom light you mentioned.
I bought Jeffs dual battery kit so when I get that I will install it. My kids are getting impatient with all this tearing the boat apart business LOL.

Anyway thanks again chpthril. How do you know so much about these boats, are you a Tige tech?

Oh yeah where can I get the music symbol for my acc switch?

Glad it's coming together for you!

For the switch cover, if you have a Moomba or Supra dealer close by, see if they will order you one. It's only about $6 and you can get only the cover.

Waaaaaaaaaaayyy too much time spent on Tigeowners.com I've read about thread posted here and I have a marine audio sales/installation biz as well. I did work for my Tige dealer last year when people were still buying new boats Anyway, take those kids out and have fun, you will enjoy that boat, it's the best in the line up

Took my boat out this wknd for a test run. This stereo absolutley ROCKS!!! It is way more than I expected. Sounds great at all speeds and functions perfectly. I need to make a box for the sub still and I'm going to do that right away (I own a millwork shop so thats no problem)but I was wondering, they suggest a box size of .88 cf. How close do I need to stay to "square" on this? I would like to make it it larger but not so deep as to not hog up my storage. Does that work? Say like 16 x 16 x 5 or does it need some depth to it?

Thanks again for everyones help on this, it turned out awesome.

                      Thomas-

Actually you do not want a true cube... The shape is not critical, the volume is. As long as you do not fabricate a long skinny tube, (a garden hose has a volume, and at some length it will measure .88 cf, but it will not work) you are free to build whatever shape fits.

                      Have fun with it!

Built my sub box. Took it to my buddys shop and had him carpet it to match and went to install it. Found out really quick that it was bigger than the opening in the compartment LOL. I've done dumber things before. Anyway figured out a way to "cheat" it in there by removing the carpet (luckily he didn't glue it, he sewed a nice 5 sided piece together) and taking one side of it off and "rebuilding" it after I put it in the compartment.
                        Looks awesome! Sounds killer!

Are you still there or are you on the floor laughing?
Hey, I'm gettin too old for this %$#@ LOL
