Stereo Redo and Upgrade

We did a stereo upgrade on Jmekep's 22V a few weeks back, so I just wanted post up some pics and share!

The boat got a Wet Sounds Double Up on the tower powered by a Kicker ZX650.4, AUX-Ipod plug in the glovebox, 2 new marine deep-cycle batteries to power the system, a Blue Sea ACR to keep it all separated and Pro Mariner Pro Sport12 on-board charger to keep it all up to snuff, 1/0ga wire to carry the juice to the batteries and amps. Every thing in the cabin stayed as is, but got rewired, reconfigured, reset and tuned correctly! The cabin consists of 6 Kicker 6.5 components, a Kicker CompVR-10 all powered by a KX700.5.

The tear down:







The rebuild! The system is set up so the cabins and tower can be faded from the head unit. The Perko can be left on Batt1 for normal use as the Blue Sea ACR will allow both bank to charge with engine running, but isolate them with engine off. If needed, the stereo battery bank can be used to start the engine simply by switching over to Batt2. The Pro Mariner duel bank tender will keep both banks charged when back at the house simply by plugging in to an extension cord.
