looks great. I really need to get one of those circle cutting jigs. That would have been easier.

        Gorgeous!

Something you guys can benefit from I wanna share:

See that little coaxial speaker up there next to the woofer? That speaker gets all mudded-up up by the woofer when they are playing together in the same enclosure. What happens is that the pressure from the subwoofer tries to move the coax speaker's midrange cone in and out sort of like a passive radiator or a port.

Go buy yourself a tupperware or other plastic bowl or some sort of device of some sort large enough to cover the back of the midrange. A length of 8" PVC with a cap might work well, and be cheap too.
What we want to do is give the mid enough air behind it so it still works normal, but in the process isolate that air from the pressure from the backside of the woofer. That will prevent the miderange in the coax from getting banged around by the pressure from the backside of the woofer.

        Hopefully that makes sense!

        Phil
        It's not an optical illusion.
        It just looks like one.....

2nd & 3rd pics of my storage area w/ 3 amps. We hope to wire up this wkend if it doesn't rain. pics w/ and w/out the shelf. I am very limited on storage on my boat. I keep my tools and extra's in this area.

4th is items that I am adding this year. I already had the tower speakers from the 1st NC Tigeowners Reunion. I justed cleaned them up and haven't put them back on yet.

The 5th pic is my router and jig. Very simple, I put the jig under the base because of the carpet thickness and it has a single 1/4" dowel hole to spin around. It took a couple of try to get the diameter I wanted.

I will write up a post on the sound of the sub and the pxa-h100 later on. I will have to get Chptrl out on my boat because he is the sound guru. He knows more about the technical end then I do. I am really interested in know if it will help.
Looks good Dale, cant wait to hear it

I ended up buying a rotozip and what they called a circle cut that allowed me to cut a perfect circle for the sub. Was not too difficult at all, a few passes with the jig and one without so the bit could go deep enough and the hole was cut. Got the amps installed and hooked up too, just ran out of time to tune them. Will do that this week. Here are a few pics, will take more and some of the amp later this week.

Thanks for all the help, you guys saved me a ton of time and pain with the jig suggestion.
Perfect, wasnt too hard was it Looks good.

Got the sub and towers dialed in this weekend, they rock! The sub hits hard and the towers sound better than ever. Very happy with this purchase! It is going to be a good summer.

Where can I get one of these baffles, I just purchase the same boat and I'm a little dissapointed in the stereo that is in it I had a top end kenwood in my last boat with a ten inch sub and 2 tower speakers. I would put the one out of my old boat but then I loose the remotes.

I can send you one if you cant find one, but check on Ebay for one.

Most stereo problems will come down to either poorly matched components or poorly tuned. No need to condemn a system, untill you know your getting the mpst out of it, then if your not happy, upgrade.

I will get some pictures of my install. My system isn't final yet but is functional. I really want your opinion Chptril after I get the final setup w/ the imprint. When we ran the test we couldn't find a remote enough spot so all the noise played a part in the sound. To me it really wasn't that bad. Every seat in the boat was the same and he blended in the towers speakers when you were standing. He wasn't pleased w/ the sound but we are planning on re-running the setup again. I can't wait to get out when the wife isn't on the boat she doesn't like loud music.
