So if you go that route, the best thing to do is cut in a vent. You can make a really nice vent out of starboard, acrylic etc...there are some pre made ones that will look great. Some even made out of arcylic with led's as back light for a really custom look.

Tim, can you tell us where to find/look at some of these pre-made vents? Thanks

Tall why don't you want to put the sub by the drivers feet? I saw a X45 today with a 15" kicker in that spot with a box behind it and a 10" kicker in the factory spot.

This pic is hard to see but it's the box with the amp mounted to it

I have some other stuff down behind that wall too. Not just the Master control module you can see on the left. Maybe I will revisit that and see if I can move things to the left and the sub will have to go towards the right(when looking in from the front of the boat). I am very surprised that the sub looks so well centered.

If it does not involve moving the master module, it couldn't be too hard, right? Seems like every project I start takes 10 times longer than I expected. 'How hard can it be?' is what I usually start off saying. Maybe I am just extra tired these days.

                Thanks for the thoughts.
                Be excellent to one another.

looks like they just moved everything around and replaced it on the back of the box they built. Its hard to see but the lighter wood is the box and the black blob on the bottom right is the kicker amp and all the things are moved to the left of the amp and on that side side of the box.

I think this is the best location for the sub if you can easily move everything.

Now I see...says the blind man. Mounting everything to the box seems like a lot of trouble. I will still re-evaluate. My problem is I work on these projects 45 minutes at a time usually, and this is definitely one that I would want to get completed at once, would have to plan a whole afternoon (which would probably turn into 2 complete days with my skills).
