    Cut-off freg.

I am setting up my amps and was wondering what a good cut-off freq.would be to set the amps at for the Kicker km620.2 components and the ws xs-650's?

      Howdy!

A good start point would be to set the high pass on 80HZ and set the gains and see how that does. Then you can move up a bit to around 100 hz and see what that does.

The XS-650 can play some major low end so 80 HZ will be bumping. Plus based on the acoustics of the boat, you could get too much mid bass so bringing them up higher will get more volume.

Or, just leave where the previous owner had them set, i've heard he was pretty good with stereos, so I bet they were dialed in

^^^^ that came to mind as well, however I was unsure of the speakers that the amps were connected to. There are marks where they are set.

Tim is right on the money. That range of 80-100 Hz is common, if not typical.

The KM6202 components will make great bass, but if you have a subwoofer having a single driver doing the low-end workload there will be less phase issues.

IF you do NOT have a subwoofer, consider a hi-pass crossover setting of around 40 to 50 Hz. You will lose some bottom-end, but you probably will not notice the difference while running, and the speakers will play a lot louder.
            It's not an optical illusion.
