    Wetsounds WS-420

Does anyone on here have one? If so it is pretty easy to hook up? Also where did you all mount it at?

I got my Pro 80s hooked up over the weekend but I can definitely tell the tower speakers are able to push more while my interior speakers seem to be maxing out.

Any tips or advice? Thanks in advance.

Hooking up is simple. Just take the power, ground and turn on wire from the amp. Mine is on the floor as I have not mounted it yet
    Let it be!!!

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice or know how difficult it was to hookup. I had my dealer install it with a few stereo mods before delivery. They mounted it below the left side of the dash:

I just ordered one. Hooking it up should be fairly straight-forward as the documentation spells that out. How far away from the head unit & amps and where you can route the wiring will determine how long the RCA cables will need to be.

The one important gotcha is to make sure the H/U, amps, and EQ are all connected to the same power and ground.

I am not sure where/how I will mount mine...have been thinking about vertically along the left wall under the driver console and set back slightly to avoid bumping knees on it. I would be interested in hearing where/how others have mounted them and what they like/dislike.

Dingle - thanks for the photo! Do you know what brackets your dealer used? If not, who is your dealer (I'll contact them)?

Ya I read the documentation as well. Seems straight forward but for some reason I always run in to that guy Mr. Murphy, you know Murphys Law.

I think I will probably mount mine where dingleberry has his but also wanted to hear from others.

Oh yeah, me and Mr. Murphy go waaaay back! I'm sure it will take me about 10x longer than most to get it installed.

I'm not sure about the brackets. I think that I may have a closer picture that may show it better - I'll try to post it tonight when I get home. My dealer is Matt at The Boat Shop in Boulder City, NV. (702) 592-1516 or tige_matt@yahoo.com

Here's a closeup on the brackets. I don't know if they come with the 420 or not.

Here is an interesting bracket being made.

These guys are near where I live. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll see if I can physically get my hands on one.

I don't know how hard it was to install, but here is where mine was installed, mounted in a little different spot than dingleberry's.

WS-420 is easy to hook up. Just takes some time running the RCA's. You will need one to the WS-420 from the head unit and 3 back over to the amp location. Tower, In Boat and Sub.

Best thing to do is also run the power and ground and remote over so you share the same power and ground as the amps, and re wire the power and ground and remote of the head unit to share those as well. So this way there is less chance of noise in the system. You can also add a relay on the remote turn on of the 420 to elimate pops when turn on etc...

Then follow the set up guide I wrote for the 420 on setting the gains and tuning the system and your done!

The WS-420 comes with the L brackets like the pics above so you can use those to mount up under the dash. Or you can use one of the mounts like the link above if you want something with more bling.

I cut out a part of the dash so I could flush it in. You can see pics on our site. Used the l brakets and made another support under there to attach to.

Yes, it projects your voice through the tower speakers.

You can use it to tell information to the skier/boarder behind the boat, even while underway. Also, it comes in handy to communicate with other craft on the water, such as yelling at jetskis to stop following so closely.
