    POWER AMP - LOST POWER

I have a 2005 24v and have lost the power to the stereo power amp. Only my front speakers work and I checked the power at the amp and there was not power. Is there an inline fuse somewhere

Depends on the installer, was it factory, dealer, or dealer sub'd? Hopefully there is a fuse or circuit breaker near the battery.

It was a factor installed. The breaker near the batter is OK. That is why I thought it was an in-line.

        Weird...

What amp is it and when you say you checked the power at the amp, what exactly did you do?
        It's not an optical illusion.
        It just looks like one.....

I am not sure of the make. It's covered for the winter. I checked the power input on the top of the amp. It was a factory amp.

There may be more then one breaker ( for other components)

I thknk in 05 you had a choice of Kicker or Clarion amps.

You measured the voltage with a volt-meter, right? If you got nothing the issue is somewhere in your power wiring, and that has a chance to be dangerous if there is a loose wire. You might disconnect the negative wires from your battery, and then start to trace the positive power wire to see what is up.

Or the breaker or fuse really is bad, but does not look like it?
I am guessing, but want to help you for sure!

on my 05 it is a Clarion Amp. Either the apx 400.4 or 480.4. The sub is bridged to 2 channels and the rears are on the other 2 channels. The fronts run off the HU. The power wire to the amp has an inline fuse. It will be in the port side rear v drive compartment. If it was wired like mine the power wire comes off a lug attached to the transom. Minw was on an 8 guage power wire
                      Let it be!!!

thanks. I am now sure it was a Clarion. I will check that area for an inline fuse. thanks for the help. Mike
