    i need some serious help?

    ok here is the deal..

i had my factory system in my 06 22v.. just kicker in boat speakers and a kicker amp.

last year i added the wetsounds 3 some on my tower with a alpine pdx 4.150 to run em.. at that time i had a very very small tick in my speakers when i hit the taps button.. but wasnt real noticeable...

ok well i upgraded my system again. i added the xxx.xs wetsounds sub powered by a memphis 1000d amp and added 3 pairs of in boat xs-650s and replaced the factory kicker amp with a jl 6450.. also added the ws420 under the dash. all professionaly installed and sounds amazing.. well the pop in the tower speakers got really loud. so i fixed that with a 2200 uf 35v cap..

ok so my batteries were getting low from showin off my system (note: boats is in my front yard not in the water yet) to friends so i put a charger on the cranking battery first on a 12v 2 amp charge.. i forgot about it and let it charge for like 24 hour or more and unpluged it. get in the boat and the batteries are def charged but now everything has noise through the speakers. the pop is gone but now the whine of the taps motor , the bilge, ballast, blower everything is making noise through the speakers..

im about to yank all this crap out of my boat if i cant get it fixed. please please.. help ! AAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! frustrating

ok i finally got it.. if anyone cares..

ok i ws420 was just grounded to a wire under the dash.. i ran a ground wire from my ws420 to one of my amps.. then grounded my radio to that wire.. clipped the one under the dash so my ws420 was only grounded to the amp and same goes for the radio.

put that 2200 uf 35 v cap back on the baby blue wire and over to the ground wire and pop is completley gone. taps gauge does work with the key in the run pos. i feel stupid it was such an easy fix. now we will have to see if there is gonna be any engine noise but if there is i have this thing i wire into my alt. to stop that. so all is well..

I think the problem you are having is a ground loop issue.

What you need to do is ground the ws420 and radio to the same amp.

Glad you got it worked out

Good to know you got it all going.

We should have recommended the "re-grounding to the amps" thing in our PM conversation, but it has been discussed so many times in here, that I did not have it in the fore-front of my mind. Glad you figured it out!!!

            Way to go!!!
