Dielectric Grease - Good Idea or Not?

Is it recommended to use dielectric grease on the power connections or speaker terminal connections?

I have the set screw type power connectors and was wondering if I should put some dielectric grease on the wire before connecting?

    Thanks!

Dielectric grease is a pure silicone grease. It's great as a rubber lubricant as it does not cause it swell or deteriorate. It's also great for electrical connectors, plug wire boots, etc. It repels water and oxygen, the 2 things needed for corrosion.

Also good to use is the purple'ish color spray for battery terminal. It can be found on the battery service isle of your local auto parts store.

It will most certainly not hurt. I use it on all my light bulbs in my vehicles and the boat. Corrosion is non-existant and the bulbs are easier to remove when needed. The stuff is cheap so why not?
