            Looks Great. Super clean Install.

Crutchfield sells Ipod adapter that plugs into Cnet port on the h/U which give you almost complete control of the Ipod. It does not allow you to change play modes say from Album or artist to random play. It is a $40 cable/ It allows you to change songs etc and will charge Ipos.

If you need the P/N I get get it for you.

It's the CCAIpod and it's not really worth the money IMO. If the true interface [part# EA1276B] is too rich for your blood, then you will be happier with the $15 AUX-Ipod cable/socket fished over to the drvers seat. You control throught the Ipod. The only thing the CCAIpod does differently is charge the unit. You can get an Ipod cig charger for $5 bucks.

I ended up getting the EA1276 (what is the difference without the "B"???!!!) as I wanted complete control over the iPod - just as if I was using the iPod... The difference in that amount of money was not too great.

Just called my Clarion Distributor, there is no user diff between the EA1276 and the "B".

For whatever it may be worth the one I used from Crutchfiled is Crutchfield P/N 020CCAIPOD which hooks to the CNET port on the HU and gives full control. Price is $49.99 + shipping. This one gives full functionality using the Clarion remotes.

Thanks for the update/clarification, looks like they finally updated/enhanced the CCAIpod, with out a model # change. Clarion makes great product with good features and outstanding quality, but their customer service in non-existent. You cant get crap from their web site and dont think about calling. I spent 5 months trying to find out where to buy Clarion products and ended up finding the distributor by accident.........I called Correct Craft because of a factory installed amp/sub problem and they gave me the Dist's number for tech service.

As I stated in an earlier post I have found one limitation and that is you can't change say from play list mode to shuffle mode on the Clarion remote when using this adapter. Other than that it gives you say 80+ % control and will display title and track but not the graphics. Crutchfield Tech Support is a good resource for more info on it.

It is a multi cable set up so you can hook the main cable to the H/U and the IPOD cable can be routed thru a new hole in glove box.

Since you don't really need to get to the ipod I used velcro and just put it on the side of an amp so if I want other use it is easy to get at.

Can you change from playlist to playlist with the remote?

I don't know... I haven't got the new model yet and there is sparse info online about it. As soon as the unit comes in and the speaker to be repaired is in also, I will be headed back to the boat and I will give it a shot.
