    it couldnt be could it? i didnt think mobile audio components came in 8ohms, thats 240 volt stuff.

      There you go. I guess they do. And I was worried that I might be putting it down to 2 Ohms when I ran it in parallel.

        Rockford has some 8 ohm mobile audio subs also.

          wow havnt seen that before. i supppose they make them so you can have ur amp running 4ohms with a duel coil sub.

            ID makes some 8 Ohm stuff as well. It's not uncommon, in fact more of the norm, to run subs at 4Ohm as opposed to 2 Ohm for Sound Q comps.
            Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

              Orion used to make dual 8 ohm speakers, you could get dual 8 ohm or dual 2 ohm. I used to run the dual 2 ohm XTR 15's - miss those days!
