yes, but I also have remotes for the HU. So, from the KEQ's documentation, it looks like I have to set it to 3/4 of full volumn and then the HU can control the volume.

Does my explanation about all pass on the H/U outputs make sense?
I forgot; gotta go look at the crossover section of the KEQ5; hang tight...It's not an optical illusion.

You run into the normal set of wiring precautions related to noise, but outside of the power connections, this is about as easy an install as you will ever find.
BTW... I like the subwoofer crossover; it is constantly variable right on the front. NICE.
But... The KEQ5 claims to be parametric, yet the center frequencies and the "Q" are apparently fixed, and hence it is not really parametric. I have no problems with the piece, just problems with its labelling... It actually functions like a simble 5-band graphic EQ..It's not an optical illusion.

OH, be careful too...
It recommends setting things at 4/3 volume several times.... What is 4/3 volume anyway? That is greater than unity....
hee hee hee....It's not an optical illusion.

So, RCA's should be double shielded now.. Correct?
I know the value of hi-end RCA cables, but I have run into problems with them. Sometimes it is a problem with the cable, sometimes the cable just reveals a problem, but many times, substituting in a cheap one makes it go away...
So the answer is maybe....

I would start with the H/U gain at 3/4, and the EQ gain at 3/4.
Then, with a reasonably loud test tune, set the amp gain until it just clips, then turn it down slightly.
This is not precise, but gets you quite close. It's not an optical illusion.
