yllw20, I think you are refering to this one from Fusion Electronics out of New Zealand http://www.fusionelectronics.com/en/...6-product.aspx

I have seen it. Cool concept but the UI is still lacking. And still no color like the Alpine.

The MB Quart deal is just a dock for the ipod, instead of having it laying around.

I am using the factory clarion with the HK I Drive and love the Idrive. Have not found a head unit that is as fast as the idrive and offers the ease of use.

I was going to try out the Alpine Marine head units and remotes but they were not shipping yet. Next boat will give that a try and see.

They probably won't be out till about march or so, Alpine takes so long to get their new stuff out.

Does the CMD5 have a USB interface for the iPod?

          No, they are CeNET.

At the risk of flogging a dead horse, are both the 1276B Interface and the CCA-Ipod cable a CeNET connection? What is the difference between these two CMD5 interfaces?

            Thanks!

The CCA_Ipod is typiclly found under the Mobil Audio section for cars/trucks and the EA1276B is more for the Marine side.

As far as funtion, I have not used the CCA so I dont know all of what it will do.

CCA-IPOD is way better. A little hard to get the hang of but it works in real time from the head unit without the need for any special playlists plus it is cheaper.

I believe you are thinking of the previous model, the EA1276B states it supports Ipod menu. Cant argue with cheaper, but since I cant give a side-by-side comp, the price may be a mute point

I guess what gets me confused is Clarion's crap website.
