I love my new Ipod, but I still hate "syncing". I would much rather click and drag....

It's been my experience that Apple seems to have pretty good control over the pricing no matter where you buy it (as far as major retail stores go.) I never been able to find more than a couple of bucks difference from one place to another and they all seem to have the same sales prices at the same times. Point being, Costoc is just as good as anywhere else-minus the extended warranty options.

Guy at Bestbuy told me they were price locked...

You don't have to sync, just turn off auto, and check manual, then you drag and drop.

Refurbished ipods from apple is the best way to save money, and you will never know the difference. Have done it several times, and 2 apple tvs that way.

I was at Costco today iPods do not cost as much there. I think they had 80GB for $230, where it usually $250 and so on....They were all a little less money than Best buy, circuit city and others

Also we own a UPS store and buy a lot of stuff for our store at Costco, So if you sign up for a w/e membership(I think ours is $100 a year. And we get a percent of the $$$ we spend back each year(in cash!)) You can buy stuff with a tex exemption...NO TAXES!

Can I still get a Tex exemption if I live in Utah?

So the Ipod nano 8GB does not have a disk in it, and might withstand being dropped and shaken (as if I am hitting big rollers) a little better?

I am partial to the biggest screen we can get. The 8GB nano looks to have about the same size screen as the 80GB?

The iPod Touch also has a solid state drive and 8, 16 or 32GB of space with a 3.5 inch display. More expensive, but you get more stuff.

I think CP3 is trying to sell an 8GB model NIB.

Just my opinion, but the 2nd Generation iPod nano are the best for the boat or car. They aluminum, tiny, bullet proof. They have the smaller no video lcd screen, less likely to go wrong. I have like 3 of them. I like the video ones, but no need for video in my glove box.

ragboy, you are correct.. Less chance of damage and if there is damage, the iPod nano is much cheaper than the iPod Touch. I thought the OP wanted to play movies also. Now I have to go back and check.

Edit: yes, tall wants to play video of wakeboarding instructions. Unfortunately, the nano doesn't do that from my understanding... But you definitely know better.

The new nano, does play video, and is still very small.
