Yes sir, I have completely removed the speakers and crossovers from the equation.

Last night I disconnected all the speakers from the crossover and had just the power and ground, and it would trip it when cranked up. I put that crossover on another channel and everything worked perfectly.

I haven't screwed with the tower speaker amp to see if it really is messed up or not.
