Ok, I know alot of stuff has been thrown at you in the last 2 pages, so lets back up and punt.

Tell us what you want to do now. What do you want to accomplish with your system now. Do you want to upgrade/add to in, the future and do you want build an upgradable system now, or start from scratch at that time?????

        Here is where I am:

        Cmd4a
        4 Polk db651's
        ws 10" sub
        kicker 700.5
        100a circuit breaker

and....here is what I am trying to decide in the next week.

        option 1....

        ws Pro 60
        kicker 550.2

        option 2....

        ws Pro 80
        kicker 550.2

I think what I really want is just some tower speakers that will be loud enough to hear at the end of the rope. Right now I have nothing....so anything will be an upgrade. I think by the time I will want anything more out of a stereo it will be the time that I will be thinking about a bigger newer Tige (1-2 years). If I do decide to upgrade to a louder system up top I will worry about it at that time.

I thank you guys for all of your help and awesome advice so far. I will need plenty more once I have everything and am totally lost as to what to do with it all

OK, the zx550.2 is perfect for either pair of wet sounds, you will not be disappointed.

There is only about $100 diff between the zx550.2 and the zx850.4, so, if you thought you would maybe add a 2nd pair of wet sound, say next winter, it may be worth upgrading the amp and wire now, and then just hang the speakers when you are ready. Or, sell the 550.2 and put that $$$ towards the new amp.

Either way, if you think you will be upgrading, spend the money on wire now.

              Okay........

So I have ordered everything. Is there anywhere online that I can find some sort of a wiring diagram to hook everything up?

I ended up going with the 2channel amp and the Pro 80's. My boat doesn't have an amp currently, just the head unit and 4 speakers. I am totally lost when it comes to these things.

              Thanks again for your help!

It's not too tough, most amps have decent manuals showing how to hook everything up.

Reading back through, you had already ordered an amp and sub for the cabin, correct? With the addition of a 2nd amp for tower speakers, we failed to mention that the 100amp breaker will not be sufficient to carry the load of both. It makes for a much cleaner install to run only 1 set of power and ground wires for the amps, and then split off with distribution block to each amp. For this, I would recommend exchanging the breaker for a higher rated one, instead of adding a 2nd breaker and running a power and ground for each amp. Adds cost an bulk.

                you will need;
20+ feet (ea) of power and ground wire (probably 0ga, but need to double check this)
                circuit breaker
2 non-fused dist block (sometimes called ground dist blocks)
eyelet terminal ends for battery and breaker hook up
                lots of wire ties
                wire loom
                12ga speaker wire

Just a few things off the top of my head this AM.

Where do I find the distribution blocks (local like best buy or radio shack...or do I have to buy online?)?

What amp circuit breaker do you recommend now?

Anyone want to buy a 100a breaker ? (joking....I will return it)

                  Thanks,

I found most of the stuff I needed for my stereo project at Best Buy. For the rest, I went to Radio Shack.

I'm with lee on this, just use an inline fuse. Best Buy has all the fuses you need.
                      Here it is.

Un-fused IF you have the properly rated breaker at the battery. A fused d/b will be redundant.

You will need 2.......1 for the Pos and 1 for the Neg.

Now, we need to figure what size breaker and wire.

                              Here is a place to get a Hi-amp C/B http://www.ktcables.com.au/circuit_breakers.aspx

                              Even better http://www.electricvehiclesusa.com/category_s/126.htm

I'd say go with the: KTCBM180 180 Manual Reset Circuit Breaker.

I'd rec. 0ga amp power wire from the battery to breaker, breaker to Dist blocks, and 4ga from blocks to amps.

Why not just 4awg wire straight to the amp from the battery with an in-line circuit breaker on the positive wire. All he is doing is hooking up one amp.
